Reset a forgotten password

Ask for a link

1. On the sign-in page, select Forgotten your password?.
2. Enter your email address and select Send reset link.
3. If the address has an account, the link arrives by email. The page says the same either way, so nobody can learn who has an account.

Set the new password

1. Open the link within 30 minutes. Each link works once.
2. Enter a new password of at least 12 characters and select Save new password.
3. Saving it signs out every device signed in to your account, and we email you to say the password changed.

If you signed up with another account

• Your account has no password until you set one. Under Sign-in and security, select Set a password: it sends you the same kind of link.
