Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and wrxstack, which operates PDF Loft. You keep ownership of your documents. You pay for a plan in advance, you can cancel at any time and keep what you paid for until the end of the period, and we do not use your documents for anything except providing the service to you.
1. The agreement
PDF Loft is a service for working with PDF files, operated by wrxstack ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using PDF Loft on the web, in a mobile or desktop app, in a browser extension, in an office add-in, or through the public interface for developers, you accept these terms. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" then means that organisation.
These terms work together with the privacy policy, the cookie policy and the refund and cancellation policy. An Enterprise customer may also sign a written agreement with us; where that agreement differs from these terms, the written agreement applies.
2. Who may use PDF Loft
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to form a binding contract. You may not use PDF Loft if the law that applies to you forbids it, or if you are subject to trade sanctions that prevent us from providing the service to you.
3. Your account and team accounts
Each person who signs up receives a personal account. You may also create a team account or accept an invitation to one, and switch between the accounts you belong to. Every team account has exactly one owner, who controls billing, the plan and deletion of the account. Ownership can be transferred. An owner may appoint admins, who manage members, invitations, settings and shared templates, and members, who use the tools and their own documents.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at once at contact@wrxstack.com if you believe someone else has used your account. We recommend two-factor sign-in or a passkey for every account.
A document or signature request is private to the person who created it unless that person shares it with the whole account. The owner and admins of an account cannot open a private item. When a member is removed from an account, the owner chooses whether that member's private items are transferred to the owner or deleted, and we tell the removed member by email which was chosen. A removed member loses access immediately.
4. Plans, trials and limits
PDF Loft offers a Free plan and the paid Pro, Team, Business and Enterprise plans. The current prices, limits and features of each plan are shown on the pricing page of our website and in your account. Limits such as tasks, signature requests, AI credits and storage are shared by everyone in an account. A task is counted only when it succeeds.
- Trials. A new personal account starts with a 7-day Pro trial, and a new team account starts with a 7-day Team trial. A trial needs no card and is available once per person. When a trial ends without payment, the account moves to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
- Education pricing. Students and staff can buy Pro at an education price on the web after verifying an academic email address. We ask you to verify it again each year.
- Enterprise. Enterprise plans are agreed with us directly and billed by invoice under a written agreement.
5. Payment and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. If you choose India as your billing country, you pay in Indian rupees and the price includes goods and services tax, which your invoice shows. Everywhere else, you pay in US dollars through a merchant of record, which sells to you on our behalf and adds any sales tax or value added tax that applies. The merchant of record may appear on your card or bank statement under its own name.
- Upgrades take effect at once. You pay the prorated difference for the rest of the current period.
- Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you have paid for. New, lower limits apply from the next period. Storage above a new limit becomes read only until the account is back under the limit; we do not delete it automatically.
- Extra members on Team and Business are charged at once, prorated for the rest of the period. Removing a member lowers the charge from the next period; the current period is not refunded.
- Failed renewal. If a renewal payment fails, the payment is retried over 7 days and we email you at each failure. If the last attempt fails, the account moves to the Free plan. Your documents and data are kept.
- App store purchases. A subscription bought in the mobile app through the App Store or Google Play is billed and managed by Apple or Google under their terms. A purchase on any platform unlocks your plan on every platform.
Refunds are described in the refund and cancellation policy. We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to an existing subscription, and the change applies from your next renewal.
6. Your documents
You keep all rights in the files you upload and the results you produce. You give us only the permission we need to store, process, convert and display your files in order to provide the service you asked for, and to keep backups. That permission ends when the files are deleted, subject to backup cycles described in the privacy policy.
Results that you do not save to your library are deleted automatically 2 hours after they are produced. Uploaded inputs are deleted when the job that used them ends. Keep your own copy of anything you need.
You confirm that you have the right to upload and process every file you use with PDF Loft, including the personal data of other people in those files, and that doing so does not break the law or anyone's rights.
7. AI tools
Some tools, such as summarise and translate, use an AI model. The content of a document is sent to an AI model provider only when you run one of these tools, under terms that forbid the provider from training on it or keeping it. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review it before you rely on it, and do not treat it as legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.
8. Electronic signatures
PDF Loft lets you send documents for electronic signature and records an audit trail and a completion certificate. Whether an electronic signature is valid for a particular document depends on the law that governs that document. Some documents must be signed on paper or witnessed by law. You are responsible for choosing a signing method that suits your document. A seal applied by PDF Loft to a completed document shows that the document has not changed since it was sealed; it is not the signature of any signer.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use PDF Loft to:
- upload malware, or files designed to harm the service or other people;
- process material that is unlawful, that infringes intellectual property, or that you have no right to use;
- forge a signature, impersonate another person, or mislead a signer;
- attempt to reach another account's data, test our security without following the reporting rules on the security page, or bypass plan limits, rate limits or bot protection;
- resell the service, or use automated means to access it other than the public interface for developers and its documented limits;
- place a load on the service that degrades it for other people.
10. Our service and intellectual property
The software, design and content of PDF Loft belong to wrxstack or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
We work to keep PDF Loft available and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we do not promise a particular level of availability unless a written Enterprise agreement says so. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw a feature that is a material part of a paid plan, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
11. Services you connect
If you sign in with Google or connect a cloud storage service, that service is provided by its own operator under its own terms. We are not responsible for it. You can disconnect it at any time in your settings.
12. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, PDF Loft is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims arising from these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for PDF Loft in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using PDF Loft at any time, cancel a paid plan from your billing settings, and delete your account from your account settings. Account deletion is scheduled with a grace period of 14 days, during which you can cancel it. After that, your account and its data are deleted permanently.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts the service or other people at risk. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you first, explain why, and give you a reasonable chance to export your data. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the current period.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product before it applies. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it applies. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of India. The courts of the city in our business address shown below have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer and the consumer protection law of the country where you live gives you a right that cannot be waived by agreement, including a right to bring a claim in your own courts, nothing in these terms takes that right away.
Before starting a formal claim, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter. Complaints may also be sent to our Grievance Officer as described on the contact page.
16. General
- These terms, and the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about PDF Loft.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to a business that takes over PDF Loft, and we will tell you if we do.
- If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
- We send notices to the email address on your account.
