Install the browser extension
Save any web page as a PDF, and open PDF links and tabs in PDF Loft, from Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Add the extension
- Open the Download page and choose the store for your browser. Until a store listing is published, the page shows Coming soon.
- Add the extension, then pin its button to the toolbar so it is one click away.
Use the extension
- To save a page, click the PDF Loft button and choose Save this page as PDF. PDF Loft opens the web address tool with the address filled in. Choose Convert.
- To open a PDF, right-click a PDF link and choose Open link in PDF Loft. On a PDF tab, click the button and choose Open this PDF in PDF Loft.
- The browser asks once for each site whether PDF Loft may download the PDF from it. Nothing is requested before you choose to open a PDF.
- You sign in on the PDF Loft website. The extension stores no password and no session.
Good to know
- A PDF of up to 50 MB can be opened this way. For a larger file, download it and drop it into a tool.
- A page that needs you to be signed in elsewhere may not save correctly, because the tool reads the page as a visitor would.
- Browser pages such as settings and new tabs cannot be saved.
