Use a passkey
A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, your face or your screen lock, with no password to type.
Add a passkey to your account
- Open Settings, then Sign-in and security.
- Under Passkeys, select Add a passkey and follow the prompt on your device.
- This needs a sign-in within the last 10 minutes. If yours is older, sign out and sign in again first.
Sign in with it
- On the sign-in page, select Sign in with a passkey and confirm on your device.
- A passkey proves both who you are and that you hold the device, so it does not ask for an authenticator code.
Rename or remove a passkey
- Select Rename beside a passkey to give it a name you will recognise.
- Select Remove to stop a passkey signing you in, then delete it from the device too. Your last way of signing in cannot be removed: add a password or another passkey first.
